geode - National Semiconductor Geode audio driver.
Open Sound System driver for National Semiconductor Geode/CX5530 audio controllers.
Geode device characteristics:
- 8/16 bit playback/record
- mono/stereo playback/recording
- 8KHz to 48Khz sample rate.
OPTIONS
- geode_use_src=0|1 The Geode CPU is a 486 class processor that is not able to handle heavy computational loads. If your audio streams are use a lot of CPU, you can start getting garbled audio since the OSS Sample Rate Convertor is CPU intensive. Disabling the SRC will allow you to play audio but only at 48Khz.
- geode_use_pollmode=0|1 The BIOS in certain Geode systems doesn't setup the Audio interrupts correctly. Only machines with the Xpress BIOS from Insyde have proper working IRQs. So setting up the audio processor to use polling fixes the IRQ problem but you can get dropouts in audio since the system is using polling.
