This mixer node type is used to mark the "root" node/group of the mixer. All subsequent mixer groups will be parents of this group or some of it's child groups. By convention the root group will be numbered as 0 and it will be the dirst node reported by SNDCTL_MIX_EXTINFO.
The root group represents the "top level" window/widget of the user interface (GUI) of the mixer application.
